The Annual Visiting energy in 2018 can affect the normal Feng Shui by up to 40% depending on where different sectors in your premises are located.

You must keep in mind that there are 2 types of energy – the building energy that is always affecting you and the annual visiting energy that is outlined below. If you would like to get a full report completed which will provide you with recommendations for the energy always affecting you and the energy visiting in 2018 then we offer a Remote Feng Shui Consultation service or if you are in Sydney we can visit you onsite if you prefer. Email me if you are interested in booking this in.

2018 is the Year of the Earth Dog! The Chinese calendar is based on the movement of the sun (solar) and the 4 seasons NOT the moon (lunar) as many incorrectly think. Therefore the start of the Year of the Dog is not when the Chinese celebrate the lunar New Year on 16th February, 2018. The year actually begins on 4th February 2018 and goes until 3rd February 2019.

You can put all your remedies in place anytime during January 2018. Try and ensure everything is in place by 3rd February at the latest.

Feng Shui energies change from year to year. Invisible energies exist in our environment and they can be positive and enhance wellbeing and prosperity, or they can be negative and cause bad health and misfortune. These energies are dynamic and change over time in a cyclical manner, so in order to ensure that things remain harmonious for your home it is necessary to locate the negative ‘annual’ energies or ‘Flying Stars’ at the beginning of every Chinese New Year. We can then apply cures (including colours related to the five elements of Wood, Water, Fire, Earth and Metal) to minimise their effects. Therefore, it is necessary to watch for the re-allocation of positive and negative energies at the beginning of each year, so that we can take necessary precautions when the negative energy happens to arrive at important locations of your premises, especially your entrance, main living area, kitchen or bedroom.

Putting remedies in place can help overcome 75% of the negative energy. If you require any remedies, visit Everything Feng Shui.

Cures and enhancements that have been used previously should be cleansed with sage before putting them in place for the New Year. Alternatively you can place them outside in the light of a full moon overnight or outside in full direct sunlight for at least 4 hours and sprinkle with rock salt. Rinse under water, dry, then place in the appropriate areas. By cleansing them of negative energy and empowering the item with positive Sheng Chi energy, they will be more effective. Be sure to replace any broken or chipped enhancer or remedy as these will not work for you.

It is imperative that you remove all of the annual remedies you had in place for 2017 as these are no longer relevant and can impact negatively on the Feng Shui of your home if left in place.

To ensure your home is Feng Shui compliant for 2018 you require the following:

  • At the beginning of the Year it is a great idea to burn Sage to cleanse the building of any negative energy. Sage can be purchased from Everything Feng Shui.
  • Keeping Harmony Mist in your home is always good to spray whenever you are feeling stuck or tensions arise through the year. Harmony Mist can be purchased from Everything Feng Shui.
  • Fu Dogs at the entry to your home provide protection. Fu Dogs can be purchased from Everything Feng Shui.
